Gaurav Srivastava Joins Eric Bolling to Expose Sanctions Evasion Scheme & Call for DOJ Investigation
Gaurav Srivastava appeared on Eric Bolling’s show to shed light on a sophisticated sanctions evasion scheme involving his former business partner, Dutch oil trader Niels Troost.
In the interview, Gaurav addressed at a high level the disinformation campaign that has been used to deflect from Troost’s own misconduct — an effort that included fake documents, fabricated receipts, and a bold attempt to flip the narrative.
Troost, a 30-year veteran oil trader, misappropriated millions in company funds and engaged in the illicit trading of sanctioned Russian oil. When confronted by Gaurav, he flipped the narrative, claiming that he had been misled into believing the transactions were authorized under some OFAC license, despite never requesting any proof of such authorization nor producing any evidence ex post facto to suggest that there’s any truth to this absurd allegation against Gaurav.
As Gaurav made clear, this defense is not only implausible — it’s insulting. Troost’s actions ultimately led to his sanctioning by the UK, EU, and Switzerland in 2024-2025.
The interview also pointed to the need for a US investigation. “It’s time for the Department of Justice to take a serious look at what Niels Troost has done,” Gaurav said.
